뉴질랜드 타우랑가 각 학교에서 1인씩 추천해 선정된 13명의 ‘올해의 유학생 (Scholarship Award for the most Achieved International student of the Year 2010, Sponsored by Tauranga Korean Times )’ 장학금 시상에 대해 예고해드립니다.

 *시상 대상:

 뉴질랜드 타우랑가신문사/유학원을 통해 장기 1년이상 유학생 학비를내고 조기유학, 유학중인 초등학교 2인, 인터미디어트2인,  칼리지 1인 등 총 5명을 선정해 트로피와 장학금 $500을 수여함. 이외 각 학교별로 추천된 학생들에게도 트로피 시상.

 * 선정기준

(1)  각 학교에서  학교장과  인터내셔널 디렉터의 추천을 받은 학생 (각 학교별 1명)

(2)  뉴질랜드 학교 유학 생활 중 학업 및 스포츠, 예술분야 등에서 그 해 가장 탁월한 발전을 보인 학생

 (3) 바른 교내 학습태도와 건전한 교우관계, 사회적으로 건전하고 모범적인 매너와 에티켓

 (4) 열린 마음으로 커뮤니티에 적극 봉사하고, 미래 발전에 공헌할 재능을 보인 학생   

 * 시상안내

 매년 11월말까지 각 학교별 1인을 추천 받고, 타우랑가신문사 선정위원회에서    최종심사,  매년 12월 첫주 각 학교 마지막 조회시간에 학교장이 해당 학생에게 시상. 

 * 시상내용:  매년 각 학교별 '올해의 유학생' 13명을 선정해 각 학교에서 트로피와 상장 수여.

    이 중 최고 평가를 받은 5명의 학생들에겐 별도 장학금 $500씩 부상으로 지급합니다.  

2011년 '타우랑가 신문사/유학원' 주최  '올해의 유학생' 트로피와 장학금 시상을 앞두고, 요즘 각 학교에서 후보자 명단이 속속 도착하고 있습니다.  11월 25일까지 각 학교에서 '2011년 한해동안 가장 뛰어난 발전을 거둔 유학생" 추천서가 도착할 것이며, 12월초에 각 학교에서 1인씩 추천해주신 후보자 전원에게 수여될 트로피를 전달해드릴 계획입니다. 

 올해의 유학생 트로피와 학교 상장은 마지막 조회 시간에 해당 학생들에게 수여됩니다.  

 특히, 장학금을 시상하는 5명의 학생들과 가족들에겐 12월 9일 (금요일) 오후에 부상 $500 수표를 증정하는 행사를 갖도록 하겠습니다. 

수상하는 학생들에겐 축하와 격려를 전해주시고, 또 비록 트로피와 장학금을 받지 못한 학생들에게도  뉴질랜드 타우랑가에서 조기유학, 유학했던 성공적이며 보람찬 한해가 되었으리라 믿어 의심치 않습니다.

 Dear all

I have been asked to contact you regarding this years Korean Students’ scholarship.

Tauranga Korean Times, as an international education agency, would like to award scholarship funds to the most improved students every year.

Scholarships will be given to 5 students including 2 primary school students, 2 Intermediate school students and 1 college student. If each school could selects 1 suitable student who fits best the three categories below, then,  we will provide every nominated student from your school with a trophy and final 5 students will be given additional scholarship fund of $500 each.

It will be much appreciated  if you could issue a school certificate and award a nominated student with a school certificate & trophy during your final assembly.

For the final 5 students, scholarship cheques will be awarded to their families at Tauranga Korean Times premises at a later date and will include a small party.

Please find the categories for choosing a suitable student below.

1. A student introduced by Tauranga Korean Times and has paid more than 1 year tuition fee regardless of leaving school at the end of 2011 or staying in 2012.

2. A student that has improved the most at all subjects including English, sports achievement, art/music talents etc

3. Valued behavior, learning attitude and social good manners.

 If possible, once you have made your choice, please send us a letter of recommendation with proof of their achievements or a short report regarding your chosen student by the 25th November 2011.

One more thing, would you be able to send us some photos and a short report of Korean international students having shown outstanding performance or who have made special achievements during this year please?

It will be a good opportunity to promote your school on our website.

Tauranga Korean Times Ltd would like to establish a yearly scholarship awarding program to reward Korean international students for their hard work in New Zealand and we hope to increase the amount of scholarship and number of students as well in the near future.
