뉴질랜드에 나무 몇그루 심어놓고 싶으세요?
8월25일 토요일, Te Puke 인근 습지(Kaituna wetland)에서 뉴질랜드 럭비 영웅들과 함께 하는 식목행사가 열립니다.
약 3천 그루의 어린 나무를 심을 계획이라 최대한 많은 자원봉사자들의 참가를 기다리고 있답니다.
우리 학생들과 학부모님들도 참가하시고 싶으시면 연락주세요. (07) 571 0488
참가 등록 및 예약을 해드리겠습니다.
식목 시간은 오전 8시30분부터 정오까지 예정된답니다.
The Living Legends Muck-in 2012 - Bay of Plenty
The team at Living Legends, along with your local Rugby Legend Hika Reid and our fantastic sponsors, are looking forward to seeing you at the Bay of Plenty Living Legends event on Saturday 25th August 2012.
Please find below all of the detail you need to know for the day.
If you haven't registered but are planning on coming along then it's not too late to register at www.livinglegends.co.nz. We have 3000 native trees to plant on the day.
If you know anyone else who might be interested in helping us to plant some trees, forward this email to them.
We'd love to see as many people there as possible!
식목 장소: The planting is at the Kaituna Wetland, Pah Road, near Te Puke just outside of Tauranga.
It would be great if you could arrive on site between 8.45 and 9.00 am. We're aiming to be done by midday. However, if there are still plants to get in the ground, feel free to stay around for the afternoon to help us out.
Your Legend is Hika Reid - check out Hika's biography here. Hopefully Hika will be joining us on the day.
You need to bring: (준비물)
- gumboots or good strong work boots, this can be a very wet site!
- a spade, which should be marked with your name
- wet weather gear/sunscreen
- gardening gloves - if you don't want to get your hands dirty!
- water
- picnic lunch, although a sausage sizzle will be provided
Parking is on Kaituna Road along the edge of the wetland. Please park sensibly on the left hand side of the road.
Please ensure that children are supervised at all times.
Rubbish bins will be provided but it would be appreciated if you could arrange to take your own rubbish home with you.
Sorry, no dogs allowed on the site.

Access to the wetland is via Pah Road, off State Highway 2 near Te Puke.

About the Kaituna Wetland site
The Kaituna wetland is a very significant conservation initiative in the Bay of Plenty with wide community support. It’s a wonderful reminder of how things once were.
Cabbage trees and flaxes are flourishing, pukeko prowl through the raupo, numerous ducks, shags and pied stilts forage for food in the waterways.
The inclusion of this important wetland in the Living Legends projects recognises the threatened nature of these ecosystems. Local schools and the wider community have been involved in planting of defined areas and a kayak trail has been established.
In October 2011, volunteers planted 3000 native trees at this site as part of Living Legends programme of work and this August we have a further 3000 additional native trees and shrubs to plant.
