REGIONAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 0800 WELFARE NUMBER

An 0800 number has been set up to help the vulnerable and isolated members of our community during the Level 4 lock down.

This number is for people who do not have networks or support from family, friends or neighbours, and are worried about running out of groceries, warm blankets or other essential services they may rely on.

The number is: 0800 884 222 (7am to 7pm)

A number of community and social services are supporting those in need during the lockdown.   If you need help, there are services that are available to support you.

Recently the Government announced new rules to how we will now need to report and take care of our deceased loved ones during lockdown in Aotearoa New Zealand (see attached).

The Office of Ethnic Communities has released information especially to help Ethnic Communities understand these new changes.
