Bellevue Athletic Club

 

 

 

Bellevue Athletic Club is a long established children’s club. It is currently one of the largest children’s clubs in the Waikato/BOP region.

From this season 2012/2013 the club will be based at the Tauranga Domain and meet on
Tuesday evenings from 5.20-7.00pm.

Tuesday night also hosts the Tauranga Ramblers with whom we have built up a good working relationship and both Bellevue and Tauranga Ramblers committees are excited by the opportunity we have to develop athletics in the Bay of Plenty. We believe we have come up with a program that will serve our Mini Club and Junior Club very well. Having access to top New Zealand facilities and coaches, and the opportunity for our older Junior Club Members to compete with other athletes makes this a fantastic opportunity for our club.

Our season begins on 16 October 2012.

Age grades are determined by the athlete's age as at 31st December 2012.

Mini Club
Caters for children 1-6 years. Children run 20m to 80m and participate in fun activities relating to athletics. Club nights for this age group finish at approx 6.45pm.

Junior Club
Caters for children aged 7-14years. Each club night children will generally run two races and participate in at least two field events. Race distances according to age vary from 60m to 200m for 7-9 years and 100m to1500m for 10-14 years. Club night finishes around 7.00pm.
